Big Thoughts – A Poem

Ever so carefully,
She paints her smile
In a worldly shade
Of perfect pink-
Thinking big thoughts
She sits & struggles
Squeezing little toes
Slipping into those
Ruby steel stilettos
Swaying with a set
Of artificial confidence
Ready – Set – No
She’s just pretending
To be as as strong
As the grown up world
Expects this little girl to be

    Ruby steel stilettos..I just saw on television what Laurie is mentioning here about stilettos and exercise…:) hard enough to walk in them 🙂
