Eternal Winter – A Poem #Poetry

My soul is weary //

as I wrap my heart

in a montage of memories

the softness of your caress

and a peaceful darkness,

In a moment where

I felt beautiful

and my hands and

soul were full

of a gentle love

as hope overflowed

like a waterfall

Pouring from

my fingertips

Pouring from

my younger lips

And yet this soft shroud

of the past

can only last so long

It’s getting colder

in my dreams

The seasons are changing

As my soul ages

into eternal Winter

As the years go on

and I’m still here waiting.
